Hi Bárbara, it’s great to meet you. Tell us about yourself…

My name is Bárbara Rey Actis and my business is Longevity Initiatives.

I’m currently focused on content development and working in a business advisory and consultancy capacity. I like the academic and scientific approach to longevity.

That sounds like you have incredible scope to make a real difference in the longevity space! How do you go about doing this?

I have deep transversal knowledge about longevity and aging from a dual perspective: people and companies. Both visions allow me to encourage people to act toward their own longevity in a positive, preventive, and proactive way and to let companies know the best way to develop products and services to support people, so they don´t feel alone in the journey.

Tell us a little about your personal background. What brought you to where you’re at and the roles you perform today?

I have 30 years of professional experience working for multinational companies in marketing, so, I know about needs, gaps, opportunities, consumers, and budgets, but above all, I know about people. Since 2011, I have been working in the pharma industry, so I´m very involved with people´s health and wellness, especially in self-care. In 2018, I did an MBA, and my final project was a digital platform developed to encourage people to have active aging. Since then, I continued researching, studying, and sharing my knowledge in many ways with people and companies.

At present, I'm building awareness and a reputation in the community. I've just launched my first book and intend to become a keynote speaker and a relevant consultant. My plan for the near future is to write a second book targeting companies willing to developf products and services for seniors. My aspiration is to become a social innovator in Longevity.

Thank you for time, Bárbara, we look forward to your session at Longevitech!
